Here in Switzerland, we are spoiled with choice when it comes to lakes and rivers to take a dip in. That is why water sports – be it swimming, stand up paddling, rowing or sailing – are high on the list of hobbies around here.
As soon as it’s warm enough, swarms of people gather on the various shores available near them and showcase their water sporting skills – or at least their swimwear.
One thing that really defines Zurich is its lake and the way everyone’s lives revolve around it during summer time. Suddenly, everyone you know is somewhere at the shore of the lake during different times of the day and night, and all the important and trivial questions of life are discussed near the omnipresent water.
